For a long time, Lorraine has been involved in the community in Boston, Lincolnshire. First with her leadership role at Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS). Then since retiring, Lorraine has continued to keep herself busy by extending her roles in the volunteering she does.

Lorraine has been Listening Volunteer with Boston Samaritans for nearly 30 years. During that time she held a variety of roles including running the branch as Branch Director, currently, Lorraine is responsible for leading the training team which ensures current Samaritans are up to date with their training and that new Samaritans are fully prepared before they begin to take calls.

Being influential in the setting up of the Butterfly Hospice, Lorraine is now Chair of its board.

Lorraine is also a member of Spalding U3A which gives her the opportunity to meet new and interesting people.

As we can see Lorraine likes to keep herself busy.
