How often do we stop to appreciate objects around us? We can get used to seeing things that are far from ordinary but we become blind to them and can forget the work that has gone into inventing and creating them. Occasionally we only appreciate them when they stop working or we really need them like a tyre when it becomes flat, a toilet or shelter.
Conceptual artists see everyday objects and play with them to help us appreciate and think differently about the world in which live. This list aims to help us to do that by sharing the work of amazing conceptual artists that inspire us to pause and look at objects in a new way.
Do you like our list of conceptual artists and their work? If so mark the ones you like as ‘Hot’ and the ones that you are not so keen on as ‘Not’.
Also, have we missed any conceptual artists from our list? Are there any that are on our list that you feel shouldn’t be? Let us know by commenting below, we love to hear your views.
Oh! Please could you also share this page so others can have their say about our lists, it is appreciated if you do.
